Care Group

The first class that the child attends after admission is the care group. The child comes with one or both parents for a one hour session twice a week. This is a one to one session with the special educator, the child and parent where the parents learn skills to handle the child at home. After a minimum of 3 months in the care group, the child may transition to another class. This will depend mainly on the child’s progress.
